What Is MedsCheck?
MedsCheck is a government-funded service designed to help you better understand your medications and ensure they are working safely and effectively together. Whether you’re managing chronic conditions, starting new medications, or simply want a better understanding of your treatment, MedsCheck offers peace of mind.
Who Is Eligible?
You may qualify for a MedsCheck appointment if you:
- Are an Ontario resident with a valid OHIP card.
- Take three or more prescription medications for chronic conditions.
- Have diabetes (special MedsCheck Diabetes program).
What to Expect During Your MedsCheck Appointment
During your confidential consultation, our pharmacist will:
- Review all your prescription and non-prescription medications, including vitamins, supplements, and over-the-counter products.
- Identify potential drug interactions or duplications.
- Provide personalized advice to optimize your treatment.
- Answer any questions you may have about your medications.
- Work with your doctor if any changes or follow-ups are needed.
