Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
Compensation: $29.00–$35.00 (commensurate with experience and qualifications)

About the Role

We are seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our community pharmacy in Orleans. This role is ideal for someone experienced in retail pharmacy and comfortable working within their full scope of practice. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, detail-oriented, and efficient in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting patients and confirming prescriptions accuracy.
  • Data entry of patient care information into Kroll.
  • Third Party adjudication.
  • Accurate dispensing prescription medications.

Full scope of Practice Duties

  • Receive verbal orders (excluding controlled substances)
  • Perform technical checks on new and refill prescriptions, including controlled substances
  • Transfer prescriptions
  • Provide instruction on medical devices
  • Provide non-therapeutic medication information to patients
  • Conduct permitted clinical tests
  • Administer parenteral and non-parenteral medications (as certified)

Qualifications

  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)
  • Injection Certification (preferred; required for injection duties)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Strong working knowledge of Telus Kroll (1 year minimum)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Flexible availability and ability to work independently

Education

  • Diploma of College Studies (DCS/DEC) or equivalent

Additional Requirements

  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (required)
  • Fluent in English (required); French an asset
  • Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Orleans, ON
